HP ProBook x360 11 G3 EE Overheating
The HP ProBook x360 11 G3 EE overheats easily when performing simple tasks.
Dirty Vent
Look at the back of the laptop and inspect the vent. If it is full of dust, you will need to clean it. Dirt and debris may build up inside the vents, causing the laptop to overheat. You can use a can of compressed air to clear the vent of dust, allowing air to flow through it and clean the laptop.
Faulty Fan
If you cannot hear the fan running during operation, you may have a faulty fan. Remove the laptop’s lower case and inspect the fan. Try clearing the fan of debris, if it is dirty. Start the laptop and see if the fan will spin, if not, you will need to replace the fan.
