Garmin Nuvi 2559 Touchscreen Is Frozen or Unresponsive
The touchscreen may freeze, ignore taps, or stop responding even when powered on.
Software Freeze
Hold the power button for about 15–20 seconds until the device turns off. Wait a moment, then power it back on. If the screen remains unresponsive, perform a soft reset by holding the power and volume down buttons until it restarts.
Dirty or Obstructed Screen
Turn off the device and gently wipe the screen with a microfiber cloth dampened with water. Avoid cleaners or abrasives. Check that any screen protector is smooth and free of bubbles or peeling.
Corrupted SD Card
A faulty SD card can cause freezing. Power off the device, remove the SD card, and restart. If it works normally, reformat or replace the card before reinserting it.
Outdated Software
Connect the Nuvi 2559 to Garmin Express, check for updates, and install all available versions. Restart the device and test the touchscreen again.
