Garmin Nuvi 2559 GPS Signal Not Working
The Garmin Nuvi 2559 may stay stuck on “Searching for Satellites,” show inaccurate location, or take a long time to load routes.
Weak or Blocked Signal
GPS reception can weaken in tunnels, near tall buildings, or under dense trees. Move the device to an open outdoor area with a clear view of the sky and wait a few minutes for it to reconnect. Keep it away from metallic objects or tinted windshields that may block signal reception.
Outdated Maps or Firmware
Outdated software can slow down satellite acquisition. Connect the GPS to Garmin Express on your computer, allow it to detect the device, and install all available system and map updates. Restart the device and check the signal again.
Wrong Settings or Corrupted GPS Data
If the device still cannot lock onto satellites, check the settings menu and make sure Simulation Mode is turned off. If the issue continues, open the Reset options and clear the trip and GPS data. Restart the Nuvi outdoors and allow it a few minutes to reacquire satellites.
Follow the step-by-step guide [here] to fix this problem.
