If the buttons on your GameSir Nova 2 Lite are not responding or they have delayed feedback, follow this troubleshooting page for possible solutions.

Issue with GameSir Nova 2 Lite Software

The first step in troubleshooting should always be to restart your device.

  • Hold Home + M for ~10 seconds to force a shutdown
  • Wait a few seconds, then power it back on
  • You can also leave it disconnected until the battery drains, then recharge it

Wrong Input Mode

Make sure you are in the right Input mode for your device.

  • To change modes, the GameSir Nova 2 Lite must be powered on but not actively paired (or hold down the correct combo during startup)
  • XInput (PC / Xbox layout) Hold Home + X for 3 seconds - LED turns blue, buttons follow Xbox layout (A-B-X-Y)
  • DInput (Generic PC / Android) Hold Home + Y for 3 seconds - LED turns green
  • Switch Mode Hold Home + B for 3 seconds - LED turns red, A/B & X/Y swap like a Nintendo layout
  • Android / iOS Mode Hold Home + A for 3 seconds - LED turns yellow

Outdated Firmware

It is always possible that there is an issue with your GameSir Nova 2 Lite’s firmware. You may need to update the firmware to a more recent version.

  • First, make sure you are installing the firmware intended for your specific model, installing firmware for the wrong device will lead to your GameSir Nova 2 Lite becoming unresponsive
  • Open the GameSir App on your smartphone
  • Pair your controller via Bluetooth or USB
  • Navigate to Device Settings → Firmware Update
  • Install any available updates

Debris In Buttons

Sometimes debris builds up around the buttons and causes them to stick.

  • Take a toothpick or other non metal tool, and gently scrape around the button removing anything logged between the button and the controller
  • Then take a Q-tip with a little isopropyl rubbing alcohol, enough that it is damp but does not drip, and apply isopropyl to the outside of the button
  • Repeat as needed
  • If problems persist you may need to take apart the controller and clean the internal button membrane. To access the membrane fallow the button replacement guid under "Damaged Buttons"
  • Once you have the membrane gently clean it with soap and water, or alcohol
  • Let it dry, and then put the pieces back together

Damaged Buttons

  • If all else fails you may need to replace the buttons. A replacement guide can be found here.
