Updating Software
Pairing The Device
If you can’t pair your watch to your phone, these could be the reasons:
- You have not downloaded and installed the Fossil Smartwatches app.
- Your watch and phone are not within the Bluetooth range (30 ft. ≈ 10m)
- Bluetooth may be disabled on your phone.
- On iPhones: Go to Settings → Bluetooth → Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
- On Android Phones: Go to Settings → Connection → Bluetooth → Make sure Bluetooth is turned on. (These steps could vary depending on the phone brand)
Location Services May Be Disabled
- On iPhones: Go to Settings → Privacy and Security → Location Services → Make sure the Location Services is turned on.
- On Android Phones: Go to Settings → Location → Make sure the Location Services is turned on (These steps could vary depending on the phone brand)
- Your watch may need to be unpaired and then reconnected to the phone.
- If you have previously paired the watch with another phone, please first unpair it with that phone and then try to pair it again.
- Aside from unpairing, you will also need to clear the watch’s Bluetooth connection on the previous phone first:
- On iPhones: Go to Settings → Bluetooth → Tap on the “i” icon next to the watch’s Bluetooth name → Select “Forget This Device”
- On Android Phones: Go to Settings → Connection → Bluetooth → Tap on the gear icon next to the watch’s Bluetooth name → Select “Unpair” (These steps could vary depending on the phone brand)
Reset Pairing
Please turn WiFi off on the phone and watch as it can cause interference.
- On your watch, go to Settings > System > Disconnect and reset
- On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and Forget the pairing for your watch
- Go to Settings > Apps > Wear OS > Storage > Clear Data
- Go to Settings > Apps > Google > Storage > Clear data
- Go to settings > Apps > Google play services > Clear Data
- Reboot Phone
- Restart pairing of watch and phone
