If your Fossil Q Venture Gen 3 smartwatch screen is unresponsive to touch, refer to this troubleshooting page for tips on resolving the issue.
System Glitch Interfering Touchscreen Response
If the device does not respond to physical touch, most likely there is a glitch within the system.
- Allow the smartwatch to run out of battery. Charge the battery to 100% and turn it back on.
- Force a restart on the watch. Hold on to the power button even after the control screen pops up and keep holding on until it turns off.
This should allow the system to run normally and no issues with the touchscreen
Battery is Low
If your watch battery is low on power, you may lose touchscreen function to preserve battery life.
- Charge the watch to at least 80% and try using the touchscreen again.
The Watch Battery is Dead
If your watch battery has come to the end of its lifecycle, your watch won't work in general, including the touchscreen.
- Follow this Fossil Q Venture Gen 3 Battery Replacement guide and your touchscreen function may come back.
Physical Damage to the Screen
If the touchscreen is damaged and there is no response, then replace the screen.
- Remove the screws from the back cover and open it.
- Carefully remove the internal components
- The screen can be removed by pushing the screen and it should pop out
- Put the new screen
Sensor Malfunction
If there is nothing wrong with the screen itself, then most likely there is an issue with the sensor.
- The sensor can have dust on it and would need to be cleaned. Wiping it with a soft clean cloth removes the dirt.
- If the sensor is cleaned and still doesn’t work, then it would be best to replace the sensor.
