Nothing projects on the screen/image quality is poor.
Either projector works, but poorly; or doesn't display anything
Dirty Lens:
First ensure that your lens is clean and clear; any signs of yellowing could distort the image. Just slide open the cover and rub the glass down with small amounts of Isopropyl alcohol and baking soda; then wipe clean.
Faulty Lamp Bulb:
If cleaning the lens did not help, then the problem is more of an internal issue. Follow our guide on how to replace the lamp bulb.
EX90 is Loud or Dysfunctional
Device is much louder than the normal hum or getting too hot.
Clogged Air Filter:
The quickest fix is to follow our guide to remove and clean your air filter. However if the problem persists, it may be due to a faulty cooling fan.
Faulty Cooling Fan:
Projectors generate lots of heat. If the filter wasn't the problem, then the cooling fan is probably too old and over-worked or straight-up broken. But don't worry, there's a guide for that.
Unable to connect Mac product
Mac wires don't fit into the projector/ project doesn't have valid ports
Connector won't fit:
Apple products usually only use their own set of hardware connections and not the universally accepted ones. The only fix for this would be to find an adapter that can convert your USB-A or USB-C input to an A/V cable output. Just google these terms to see what they look like.
No Sound plays through EX90
When turned on and running, the projector doesn't emit any sound
Website/App is muted, or at 0:
Your pilot device might be muted or your volume on 0. Raise your volume to maximum by looking for a megaphone icon in the corner of the screen or using the keyboard. Then check to make sure your computer is unmuted and any websites you might be projecting are also unmuted (Ex. YouTube, streaming platforms). Barring this, your EX90 itself might also muted; so just find the button on top and click it.
Broken speaker:
You could have a banged up speaker. Check your software first but if that fails, it's time to replace your speaker.
Projection height is too low/high
Can't line up the image with my screen/ image is tilted.
Pegs in bad position:
Most likely, the adjustable pegs under your device are just not calibrated correctly. just screw these in or out as necessary until you have the desired angle.
Missing Pegs:
There should be two adjustable pegs under the device. You can move these in and out achieve your desired angle. As a last resort before buying more to replace them, you could try to find similar sized screws to have the same effect; just keep in mind these will be metal and might scratch the surface you place your device on.
