Dell XPS 9370 Fan Noise
The device exhibited higher-than-expected fan noise during standard operation. This can occur during heavy light or idle loads.
Fan Dust Buildup
Dust can build up on the device’s fans, blocking airflow and causing overheating or loud fan noise. Check all airflow vents around the device for dust build up. If there is buildup, removing the buildup may resolve the issue. Power off the device before cleaning. Use a soft toothbrush to gently remove larger dust particles, and a can of compressed air to blow out any remaining debris.
Battery Overheating
The battery may generate excess heat, causing the fans to run more frequently or loudly. Check the bottom of the device, especially the back area near the battery, for excessive heat. If the battery feels hot, turn off the device and unplug it to allow it to cool before continued use. Avoid using the device on soft surfaces such as a bed, pillow or sofa ensuring the device has proper airflow.
