If your DJI Phantom 3 Standard battery is plugged into the charger but fails to recharge, follow this page for possible solutions.
Battery Temperature is Too High or Low
DJI batteries are designed to charge only within a safe temperature range. If the battery is very hot after a flight or has been stored in a cold environment, it may refuse to charge. Allow the battery to cool down or warm up to room temperature before plugging it in again.
Battery is in Deep Discharge
If the battery has been unused for a long time, it may enter a deep discharge state. In this condition, the battery can take several minutes to an hour before it begins charging. Leave the battery connected to the charger and watch for the LED indicators to light up. If the lights eventually turn on, the battery is recovering and should continue charging normally.
Faulty Charging Port
A faulty charger or damaged charging port can prevent the battery from charging. First, check that the charger is plugged into a working wall outlet. Inspect the charging cable and port for dirt, bent pins, or damage. Try using a different charger if available. If the battery charges with another charger, the original one may need replacement.
Battery Failure
If the battery still does not charge after trying the steps above, the cells may be damaged or the battery may have reached the end of its lifespan. In this case, replacement is necessary. Use only official DJI batteries to ensure safety and compatibility.
