Device won’t respond to remote control
The vehicle won’t go move or respond to the remote control.
Remote or Car May Be Turned Off
It’s easy to forget. Make sure that both the remote and the car are switched on. Look at the back of the car near the tail lights. There is a switch between the tail lights where it says OFF/ON. Move the switch towards the ON button. If the car is on, check the remote by looking on the top part of the controller between the control knobs, turn the switch to ON. Wait for the light above the switch to stop blinking.
Weak or Dead Batteries
Remove the batteries and replace it with new ones. Unclip the battery cover above the steering knob and take out the batteries. Replace it with AAA batteries, by placing the protruded end into the indented part of the compartment and the flat end of the battery into the spring part of the compartment. Insert the cover of the battery compartment and clip it back in. For a picture guide for battery replacement, click here. If you don’t happen to have spare AAA batteries, try switching them around. This works as a temporary solution until new batteries are purchased.
Interference
The Princess Peach Kart runs on a fixed frequency. When it is racing next to another Carrera RC Kart model, it may act irregularly because the controller will send a signal to both cars instead of your particular car. To fix this, make sure your RC Princess Peach Kart is at least 60 m (200 ft) away from the other RC Kart model so that it only receives your signal.
Vehicle is Too Far Away
The Princess Peach Kart has an operating range of 60 m (about 200 ft.). If the distance between the Princess Peach Kart and the controller is farther than that, it will not receive the signal from your controller. To fix this, try keeping the Princess Peach Kart in sight while operating it.
Vehicle Won’t Turn
The vehicle will only drive straight while trying to turn it with the remote control.
Faulty Axle Placement
Turn the car on its back so all four wheels are in the air. Compare your axle with the correct positioning of our axle in order to ensure that your axle is placed correctly. If you notice that your axle is placed incorrectly, go ahead and take a look at the replacement guide here.
Secondly, If you notice that the screws are loose, take a philips screwdriver and twist the screw located in the middle of the front axle. Rotate your phillips screwdriver clockwise until the screw is tight enough to keep the front axle stay sturdy but loose enough that it will allow the front axle to rotate. You can check the turning freedom of the axle by using the controller to turn the wheels as you tighten the screw.
The Car Leans Too Much
The vehicle will be leaning towards the right or left too much and is on the verge of tipping.
Too Much Weight
Check that there are no extra parts that are added on top of the vehicle. Increased weight on the top of the car can increase its center of gravity and subjects it to lean too much and cause it to fall. Once you remove extra objects on Princess Peach, test it again.
The Car Has Uneven Turning
The vehicle turns abnormally or the opposite direction than the direction you want it to.
Uncalibrated Steering Angle
Turn the car on its back so all four wheels are in the air. Inspect the knob located in the middle of the front axle. Typically if you want the car to curve more left when you’re driving it, twist the knob counterclockwise. If you want the car to curve more right when you’re driving it, twist the knob clockwise. If you want the car to be inclined to stay straight, make sure the arrow is in the middle on the arc.
Car is Too Hot
The vehicle’s underside or the vehicle in general feels hot.
Overuse
If you use the car for more than 30 minutes consecutively, it can cause the car batteries to overheat. To prevent any damage to the engine or the batteries, stop using the vehicle and put it aside in a room temperature space until it cools down. Do not put the vehicle in water in an attempt to cool it down.
Battery Issues
If the car shuts down and is very hot, the batteries are dead. To relieve this symptom, allow the car to cool down. Once it’s completely cooled, flip the car upside down so that the bottom half is exposed.
Overexposure to Sunlight
The car isn’t recommended to be out in direct sunlight or in grassy areas. This can cause the car to overheat. The car should be in areas below 35 degrees Celsius. Keep the car on flat surfaces, preferably indoors. If you do expose the car under these conditions, allow the car to cool down indoors. Then wipe the car in all areas with a slightly damp towel.
