Is your Beats Pill 2024 having trouble connecting Bluetooth to other devices? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Speaker Might be Dying
- Ensure the Speaker is Charged. Try plugging it in.
If you’re having trouble connecting to your Beats Pill Plus, first ensure that the speaker is charged and turned on. Charging can be accomplished by plugging a USB-Type C charger into the one and only port on the speaker, a White LED light will be displayed when charging. If you’re still having trouble connecting, another simple fix would be to restart both Devices. This can be done by holding the power button on the speaker for 1-3 seconds, then pressing the power button to turn it back on. On your phone, press the power button till a shutdown option appears. After powering both devices back on, try to connect the phone to the speaker.
Interference
- Try removing obstacles blocking the connection for the Beats Pill 2024.
The next step of solutions to try after restarting both devices is to check that no other connections are interfering with the connection of your device and speaker. To do this, move the speaker to a location away from other signaling devices and barriers, such as thick walls when trying to connect.
Opening the settings app on your device, click the Bluetooth tab. In this tab, you can see all Bluetooth connections made to your device. If you have connected to the Beats Pill once, it should be included in the list of the pairings. If you have not, scroll to find the other devices section. Before trying to click on the Beats Pill pairing, ensure that no other devices are connected or trying to connect to your phone. If there are no other connections, click the Beats Pill to start pairing to the speaker.
Update the Software
- Try to update the Beats Pill 2024.
A large step that can be taken if previous solutions have not solved your problem is to update the Beats Pill to its newest firmware version. This will not only try to solve your connectivity issues but also improve the overall performance of the speaker.
The Beats Pill will automatically try to update when it is plugged in to charge and connected to your device's Bluetooth. Another way to check if an update is available, and start it manually, is to go through your Bluetooth settings or Beats App and check for the firmware update tab. In this tab, it will tell you the current firmware the speaker is running on and give you the option to update if there is a new update available.
Factory Reset
- Try giving your Beats Pill 2024 a hard reset.
The final troubleshooting solution to connect your device to the Beats Pill with Bluetooth is a complete factory reset. To do this, hold both the power button and minus volume control until the LED light on top of the speaker starts to flash blue. Let go when this happens and put the speaker down. After a few seconds, the speaker will turn back on its own and flash a pulsating white light to tell you it is in pairing mode.
If you were previously connected to the speaker, go into your Bluetooth settings on your device and “forget the device.” This will allow for a new connection to be made from the speaker to your device under the “Other Devices” tab.
If you have never connected to the speaker, follow the second part of the previous paragraph and connect to the speaker under the “Other Devices” tab.
Replace Bluetooth Components
- Try replacing Beats Pill 2024 Bluetooth components.
If all previous steps have not worked, there is likely something wrong with the speakers' Bluetooth components, and they must be replaced.
