· Check for impact damage to rear of tablet.
· Inspect for intrusion of liquids into tablet and correct.
· Replace defective battery. Battery is no longer able to accept and retain a full charge.
· Close out of unused running applications. Several running applications will continue to draw power for running.
· Turn off Wi-Fi or Bluetooth when not connected to devices. Tablets will use power as they continue to search for signals to wireless devices to connect to.
Overheating
If your tablet is overheating, the issue may lie with the charging port itself. A malfunctioning or damaged charging port can lead to improper charging, causing the battery to overheat. This can affect the overall performance of the tablet, including touchscreen responsiveness and battery life.
Possible Causes of Charging Port Overheating:
· Loose or Damaged Charging Port: If the charging port is loose or damaged, it may not make proper contact with the charging cable, leading to uneven power distribution. This can cause overheating of both the battery and the device itself.
· Debris or Dirt in the Charging Port: Dust or debris in the charging port can prevent the cable from connecting properly, causing electrical issues that result in overheating.
· Faulty Charging Cable: A damaged or incompatible charging cable may contribute to overheating by drawing too much current or causing inconsistent power flow.
