General Issues
Many issues will be resolved through a simple restart of the device. Try this before reading on.
Operating System Not Responding
Touch screen not responsive, slow performance, or occasional freezing.
Over-usage of RAM
If you are running multiple programs/apps simultaneously, it may cause the device to slow down or freeze up. Quitting programs or simply restarting the device may solve this problem.
Programming Error
It is possible that the problem may be a result of a critical error in just a single program. Try using different apps and see if the problem persists.
Internal Damage
Mishandling of the device may cause internal damage resulting in poor performance.
Problems With Screen
Screen is not displaying properly.
The Screen is Flickering or has Other Visual Distortions
This may have been caused by dropping the device. There is a possibility that some internal connections are loose or that some pixels on the screen itself were damaged.
Black Spot on Screen That Won't Display Anything
The most likely cause for a black spot on the screen is dead pixels. Dead pixels are usually caused by physical damage to the screen and are not repairable.
Device Not Recognized By PC
Even when your device is plugged in, you can't find it anywhere on your computer.
Malfunctioning Cable
Make sure that the USB cable is not damaged and is plugged in correctly.
Drivers Missing/Outdated
If it's your first time using the device, the proper drivers will need to be installed to your computer. Wait a moment for them to install. If you've used the device before, the drivers may need to be updated. Try visiting the device's website to find updated drivers.
Audio Not Playing
You can't hear anything coming from the device.
Muted Device
Make sure that your volume is actually enabled. Press the "+" sign on the right side of the tablet to turn up the volume.
Headphones Loose
If you are a headphone user, ensure that the cable is plugged in all the way. There may be some debris in the audio-jack that will need to be cleared out.
Damaged Audio-Jack/Speaker
Damage to the audio-jack or speaker system will cause them to malfunction. A replacement will be necessary to fix this problem.
Device Doesn't Connect to Wi-Fi
Can't get your device to connect to the internet.
Check Wi-Fi Is Enabled
Make sure that the Wi-Fi switch (found in settings) is set to ON.
Check Router
First, ensure that the router is powered on. You should also check that you are connected to the correct network. If you are in range of more than one connection, the device will connect to the one most recently used. If you can connect to the router but not the internet, try restarting the router/modem.
Battery/Charging
Issues with battery life or charging.
Draining
Check to see that you do not have too many programs running simultaneously. If your battery drains quickly with nothing running, you may want to consider replacing it.
Not Charging
Try using a different cable if available or plugging it into a different port/outlet. The battery may also be overheated; try letting it sit for awhile before attempting to charge it again.
