Restart Required
Sometimes if your Asus Chromebook become unresponsive it might just to reboot. Follow these simple steps to reboot your device.
- Locate the refresh button which is usually located in the top row of button
(Alternatively) If you are able to control the mouse or your screen
- Click on the small rectangle at the bottom right of the screen that displays the time and current battery life of your device
- A pop-up window will appear which then you click on the power button on the bottom left of the pop-up window
- Click the button that says restart
Too Many Open Tabs or Apps
If you have too many tabs open in your web browser or too apps open and running in the background it can slow down your device and even result in the screen to freeze
- Simply close any tabs in your web Browers you are no longer using
- Close any apps that are currently open on your Chromebook that do not need to be open
Outdated Software
Your device may be freezing up or not responding due to it's OS not being up to date
- Click the small rectangle at the bottom right of the screen that displayed the current time and battery life of the Asus Chromebook
- Click the gear icon at the bottom right of the pop-up window which will bring you to the device's settings menu
- Find to the menu labeled "About ChromeOS" on the left side of the settings window and Click on it
- Click the button that's labeled "Check for updates" under the Google ChromeOS label
Faulty Motherboard
