If your Acer Chromebook CB315-414-P8FZ does not power on, the following troubleshooting guide may help diagnose why.
Needs Hard Reset
- Unplug the power supply.
- Hold the Power button while holding down the Refresh key, which is usually the fourth key in the top row.
- Let go of both keys.
Try turning on the Chromebook after reconnecting the power adapter.
Battery Needs Reset
- Unplug the charger from the wall outlet and the Chromebook.
- After reconnecting the charger to the Chromebook, plug it into the electrical outlet.
- Give the gadget at least half an hour to charge.
- try turning it on once more.
Battery Needs to be Reconnected
- Disconnect the charger and turn off the Chromebook.
- Gently peel off the bottom cover after removing the screws holding it in place.
- Remove the battery connector from the motherboard with caution.
- To use up any remaining power, press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.
- Reattach the bottom cover, screw it in place, and reconnect the battery.
Try turning on the Chromebook after plugging in the charger.
Needs Factory Reset/Powerwash
Consider doing a factory reset to return the Chromebook to its initial configuration if you can access the login screen.
