If the power indicator is flashing, this likely means the battery has fully discharged. Plug the laptop into a power outlet and confirm charging indicator is lighted. If it is not, confirm that the power outlet is working and the power supply cable is fully plugged in on both sides.

If the charging indicator does not illuminate after the above step, unplug the laptop from both ends, then replug in the charger, laptop end first. Wait at least 30 minutes before trying to turn the laptop on again.

If the touchpad reacts too quickly or slowly, there are settings to adjust its sensitivity. Click on the “Settings” icon, and under the “Device” section, click “Touchpad”. The sliders under the title “Touchpad speed” will adjust the sensitivity of the touchpad.

If the touchpad will not respond to clicks, taps, or swipes, first make sure there is not dust or dirt on the touchpad. If it is clean, try pressing the ESC key several times, drum-rolling your fingers on the touchpad, and restarting the computer. If none of these options work, try resetting the computer.

Check sound level to see if volume is set to zero or mute.

Check if an external audio device, such as headphones or bluetooth speakers, are being used as the primary output for sound.

If the volume or brightness keys are not working, this likely means those settings are either at their maximum or minimum. If not, it could be a wiring issue, and the keys might have to be replaced.

If the backward or forward keys are not responding, check to see if the backward and forward buttons on the web page are grayed-out. If so, there is not a page to go backward and/or forward to.

If other keys on the keyboard are not responding, first try restarting the computer. If this does not work, trying using the keyboard as a guest. If this solves the issues, delete the account in which the keyboard did not work.

First, try using the camera/webcam in a different application such as Hangouts. If this does not work, try restarting your laptop. If neither method works, contact the laptop’s manufacturer for more help.
