The camera continues to fall off of the mounted area
The dash cam is moving and/or falling off of the mounted area while driving.
Improper Suction to Windshield
If the dash cam repeatedly unsticks from the windshield, the mount may not be properly attached. Make sure the windshield is clean and dry before adhering to the mount. Apply pressure evenly to the mount to push all of the trapped air between the suction cup and the windshield out. Try not to jostle the suction cup afterward, as this can allow air into the suction cup and weaken the hold.
Improper Removal from Windshield
If the dash cam was previously removed from a mounted surface by pulling on the camera forcefully or the mount has been removed completely, the suction may have been weakened between the mount and the windshield. To properly remove the dash cam from the mount, tilt the camera gently left and right until it detaches.
Flawed Product
If the dash cam repeatedly falls off of the mounted surface, the suction cup may need to be replaced entirely.
Videos not saving
Recorded videos stop in the middle of filming or cannot be found in storage after filming.
Memory Card Corrupted
Your micro SD card might be corrupted due to malware, physical damage, or other causes. If this is the case, the card will need to be replaced. While replacing, be sure to TURN OFF the camera as inserting/removing the micro SD card while the camera is on might damage the new card.
Incorrect Memory Card Formatting
If the video doesn’t show up in storage or randomly cuts, it might be because your micro SD card is not properly formatted. This can be fixed by formatting the card in the device setting. Note that this means all the data on the card will be deleted. To format the card, press the MENU key twice. Then press the RIGHT button until the format option is highlighted. Press the OK button to select. A message will pop up asking you to confirm that you wish to select this option. Press OK. The card should now be properly formatted and the issues should be fixed.
Damaged Battery
If replacing or reformatting the memory card does not help, there could be a problem with the battery. Although the dash cam isn't powered by the battery, the battery is useful for saving videos if there is a sudden power off. If your files do not save, it could be the case that the battery is damaged, and is no longer protecting the device from suddenly shutting down before the videos are saved. To resolve this issue, you would need to replace the battery completely. See this guide for instructions on how to replace the battery.
The camera stops recording
The device randomly stops recording.
Physical Damage
Damage to the power cable, memory card, or dashcam can prevent proper functioning. To prevent your device from not working when you need it most, it highly recommended to check these components regularly. Check for cable damage, as a damaged cable can cause intermittent power loss or failure to transmit power to the dashcam. Check for any damage to the dashcam itself, being careful to note anything that could cause erratic behaviors.
Overheating
High temperatures can cause your device to overheat, later leading to automatic shutdown. Dashcams are designed to operate within a certain temperature range. Constant exposure to extreme heat or cold can damage internal components or the battery, leading to improper functioning. Mount your device in a location with good ventilation and avoid direct sunlight.
Unstable Voltage
Sudden power fluctuations in your vehicle can cause your dashcam to turn off or stop recording. The electrical system in a vehicle can experience fluctuations in voltage due to various factors. A voltage drop could lead to the dashcam not receiving enough power to operate properly, causing it to shut down or stop recording, while a voltage spike could potentially damage the dashcam or its internal components. Adjust the parking mode settings to prevent excessive battery drain. Check your vehicle's electrical system, as things like a faulty battery, and alternator can lead to voltage fluctuations.
Screen not working
The screen repeatedly freezes, turns black/white, or flickers uncontrollably.
Faulty Power Adapter
If the cigarette lighter adapter is unstable it can cause the screen of the dash cam to freeze, turn black or white when powered on, or flicker. If you have been using a replacement adapter it could be insufficient or unstable. Plug your dash cam into the adapter that came with the device to resolve the problem.
Faulty Memory Card
If the dash cam freezes and/or turns black or white when turned on it could be a problem with the memory card. Remove the memory card and try turning on the dash cam to see if it can be powered on. If the device can be powered on, you will need to replace the memory card.
Overheating
If your LCD is turning white then your device might be overheating. Leaving a slight gap between the dash cam and your car windows will help dissipate the heat. Restart your device by pressing the reset button using a pin in the reset hole.
The camera is not turning on
The device’s lights and screens are not activating or displaying information.
Power Supply
Damage to the power cable or the cigarette lighter adapter can prevent the device from functioning. First, check for a damaged power cable, which can prevent the device from becoming charged. If the power cable is damaged, any Type A USB to USB Mini Type A cable can function as a replacement. Next, check for damage to the cigarette lighter adapter. If the adapter is damaged, any cigarette lighter adapter with a Type A USB cable socket can function as a replacement.
LOS Obstruction
Objects can occasionally block the camera’s line of sight. Try moving the camera to an unobstructed position. If this fixes the issue, either permanently relocate the device or remove the obstruction.
