I went to my local thrift shop and found a Wii for $10 they were willing to let me test before leaving, and with that working DVD drive, I was able to restore my old Wii! Now, I will plug some emulators in the spare one and see if I can get my $ back on a buy & sell. Without this walkthrough, none of that would have been possible! Thank you!!
there is a step where you remove a simple harness which requires a spudger to de-clip it from the main frame of the laptop, but I gotta say that this walkthrough REALLY was the big difference maker for me in feeling like I could do this job. THANK YOU!!!!!
