This sounds like a problem with the battery and not connecting to the charging port. Have you had problems when charging? If so, then maybe change the charging cord. If however, after changing the cord and is still giving you problems, then your device can be experiencing problems with the battery. When did you get this iPhone? If within the last 60 days, then you have the Apple Warranty, and they can replace it for you. If you have AppleCare, then you can take that route. 1-800-MY-APPLE

I've seen this error several times with my customers and these are some of the possibilities. (1) Did you change service provider recently, such as from Verizon to AT&T? If that's the case, then it means that the phone is not unlocked and can only be used with a specific provider. (2) It could also mean that the SIM card has malfunctioned, and needs to be replaced with another one. (3) Lastly, maybe the service on the phone came to an end (prepaid service and didn't add funds, services were cancelled.) With phones from SafeLink, Assurance Wireless and others; if you don't use your government provided service at least for one call and one text a month, then the service get's disconnected, and that's when you may see that error. Hi, If it’s one of the newer phones in this line, then the way to take out the battery is buy opening the phone with special tool set. Depending on how experience you are and/or confident, it’s not that bad a procedure. The first generation of this phone, the battery was removable, but now are sealed unibody. Hope that helps.

Hi, When the phone is facing you, the SIM tray card is on top right hand corner area. It should have the SIM and SD Card tray with it. Hope that helps.

A fancy texting device, huh? Yeah that ‘s no fun. Sounds like when you reconnected the battery and the speaker part, could be that the seal is not entirely secure. You stated that it took of time to put it back together, which sometimes in the process, the right amount of pressure and/or screws are not placed correctly. Now, in the case that the part you got in indeed faulty, obviously you’d have to swap it out. Either way, you’d have to reopen the phone and see what the problem is. What I’d recommend, is to get another speaker part, just be careful with the TouchID, since you can disconnected by mistake and create another problem. Seal it back up with the help of an iSlack if you have one. If not, just gently apply pressure along the edge to make sure it’s enclosed correctly. Any questions, let me know. Alex H.

Sounds like the problem is more with the digitizer than the battery. Just a couple of questions: Did both problems showed up at the same time or separate? About how long have you had the problem? How long have you had the phone for?

Wow… that does look like quite the damage. It could be that some moisture or other elements got into the screen, since it was cracked; causing the damage you now have. My guess is that the digitizer is now damaged, where before it was just the glass. For the repair and time, it’s just worth more to get a newer one. Installing another OS onto the phone is not impossible, but can be tricky. I could write out a guide for you on how to do it, but fair warning, can be tedious and does require a bit of knowledge on sideloading an OS onto it. If you are not willing or able to do this process, my recommendation would be to get a Pixel 3A or 4A, which has the basics of a Pixel for a more affordable price. I’d stay more with a 3A for now because again, is more affordable, and will continue on receiving updates for at least two years I believe. If you want the full experience of a Pixel, then either the 3 or 4 would be your best bet. The Pixel 4 is a bit more right now, as is the newest addition to the line. There are two options available: (1) Go to Settings, Apps, Google Play Music. You should have “Uninstall” available. Tap on that, it will ask you to confirm. Select YES, and that should be easiest way. (2) Same steps as the before, however, if it states “Disable”, that on that, and it will reset the app to factory settings, purge the cache, data and update history. Google is pushing updates to this app to be allowed to be uninstall, by making it not essential to the system. So, step one should be all you need. Any questions, let me know. Alex H.
