I agree. I would not remove the screw that holds the volume button.
T3 torx screws
The springs are for the volume button. They go into the side of the phone where the power and the volume buttons are. ;-)
This guide is perfect!!! I was able to take my Motorola moto x and put it back together easily thanks to this guide. I replaced a shattered screen. I dropped my phone again and had to replace my LCD screen again because it blacked out. When I replaced the screen the 2nd time only the left side came up. It is split right down the middle. The right side was scrambled like an old tv. Does anyone know how to fix this? Did I buy a bad LCD screen? Do I need another motherboard? Is there a component I can replace?
Thanks for any help.
Motorola moto x pure edition
Half my screen works.
I dropped my phone and my screen stopped working. The phone still seemed to power up. It would vibrate at the end of the start-up like usual but the screen remained black. I ordered another LCD screen. After installing the new screen my phone powered up the left side of the screen came up perfectly but the right side is scrambled. Does anyone know what causes this? Did I get a bad LCD screen?
Everything works I just cant see anything on the right side. The screen is split exactly down the middle. Left side perfect-right side scrambled mess. If I turn my phone on its side the scrambled part stays where it is but the picture rotates normally.
Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone else been able to repair this? I appreciate any help. I like my Motorola. If I can fix it I can use it as a back-up.
I think it is an easy phone to work on.
Thanks for any help…
I have Motorola moto x pure edition that the LCD screen went bad/ blacked out. I found a replacement screen. Now the left half of the screen works perfectly but the right half is scrambled. What causes this? Is there a bad component that I can replace to fix this? Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a bad motherboard?
