Thank you ifixit! Did this with the top connected, and the vibrator removed. Slow and steady on the tape removal after a little warming with a heating pad placed briefly underneath. Seating the new battery connector was the hairiest for me, there’s a bit of play in the cable, but the bend was slightly off. I was extra careful seating its cover before screwing it down. Biggest tip: Always, ALWAYS put each screw (or screws that match exactly) in a sealable bag, with a label (Step number, then any details like “top right”). Work on a piece of folded fabric that is soft but not fuzzy, not just for a little cushioning but so those tiny screws don’t bounce off or roll away.
Step 14: Note how far in the yellow tab of the sensor bracket cable goes into the ZIF connector before pulling it out. Reinserting was a little difficult, but looking at the photo at full size helped. When all the way in, there will be a line of gold running just in front of the connector.
