crwdns2890332:0How do I fix my Beach Cruiser's kickstand?crwdne2890332:0Yes, this should be a quick fix. It comes down to the type of kickstand you have and the type of bolt it uses to attach to your bike. Most clamp-on style kickstands look something like this. Follow this procedure: (1) Sandwich your bicycle's chainstays between the top plate and the bottom plate (which is attached to the kickstand). (2) Feed the bolt down through the holes in the top plate and the bottom plate. The bolt is typically a 14 mm hex head type. (3) Tighten the bolt using a 14 mm socket wrench (if you don't have one, an adjustable wrench should work just fine). (4) Be careful not to overtighten; you don't want to damage your bike frame by crushing the chainstays. Some bicycles have a built-in kickstand plate. (Look for a flat piece of metal welded between the chainstays down near the bottom bracket shell, right behind where the cranks attach to your bicycle frame). Bikes with a built-in kickstand plate don't need the clamp-style kickstand shown above. Instead, you will need a kickstand that looks...

crwdns2890332:0Water on floor during wash/ drain cyclecrwdne2890332:0The leak can be springing from a number of places in your washer. Rule out the easiest fix first. Check the water supply hoses that attach to the back of your washer. Pull the washer away from the wall and start a wash cycle. As the washer fills, look for leaks along the hoses and at the ends attaching to the washer. If you find any water escaping, the problem is a bad gasket or compromised hose. Those can be replaced by unscrewing them and replacing with new hoses and gaskets. Take your old hoses to the hardware store so you get the right replacement parts. If the supply hoses are fine but the washer still leaks while filling, then check the internal hoses for any leaks. You may have to unscrew the rear panel to look at the insides of the washer. There are a number of hoses and clamps within the machine that could be the culprit. If the leaking occurs during the drain cycle, the problem could be the pump. Replacing the pump may require you to tip the washer over to access the pump from below. If you...
crwdns2890332:0How to raise the handle bar on my raleigh m20 mountain bikecrwdne2890332:0There are three ways to raise the handlebar height on your bike: adjust the stem height, adjust the stem length/angle, or replace your current handlebars with bars that have more sweep and rise. Adjusting Stem Height: The stem is the component that attaches the handlebars to the steering column of your bike. The method of adjustment depends on the type of stem that is on your bike, so first identify which type of stem you have. There are two types of stems: Traditional (sometimes called Quill stems) and Threadless. Traditional stems are often shaped like a "7" where the top end clamps onto the middle of your handlebars and the bottom end is inserted into the steering column of your bike. You have a better chance of successfully raising your handlebars if you have this type of stem. Threadless stems are usually just one straight piece with a clamp on either end: one end clamps on to the handlebars, and the other end clamps onto the steerer tube. You can only raise a threadless stem if there is any excess...
