Background and Identification
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 is a budget android tablet released by Verizon in November, 2014. It is the second tablet in the Ellipsis series, following the Ellipsis 7. When released it retailed for $49.99 with a Verizon contract or $249.99 without one.
The tablet features a 720p display, 5000 mAh battery, and 16GB of built in storage. Compared to the Ellipsis 7, the Ellipsis 8 is thinner, more powerful, and lasts longer per charge. It also comes standard with Android KitKat; an upgrade from Android Jelly Bean that came standard on the Ellipsis 7.
