Background
The Panasonic DMP-BD89 Blu-ray player is a home entertainment system with wireless capabilities. The player allows the user to use popular streaming apps, such as Netflix and YouTube, with high-quality streaming. It has the shape of a small black box, and on the back there are an Ethernet and HDMI port, while on the front there is a USB port.
While it does have an Ethernet port, it also has a wireless Wi-Fi functionality, meaning it can connect with any home network. Two AA batteries are required, and there is new firmware that can be downloaded to improve the device's network services. Because this model was released in 2015, it has already been replaced by newer models, but if properly repaired, it is still a usable model.
Identification
The Blu-ray player can be identified by the model number printed on the top case towards the right front, near the playback control buttons. You can also find the model and serial numbers printed on a label on the back of the Panasonic DMP-BD89.
