Background
The direct successor to 2023's Pixel 8, the Pixel 9 is Google's latest mainstream smartphone offering. Announced alongside the Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the "vanilla" model features an all-new design, Google's new Tensor G4 chip, 12 GB of RAM, a dual camera system, and built-in Gemini AI.
Announced August 13th, 2024, the Pixel 9 comes in Peony, Wintergreen, Porcelain, or Obsidian, and starts at $799.
Identification
The Google Pixel 9 can be identified by its (now rounded off) camera bar, the Google "G" logo in the center, and its new chassis with squared off sides.
