EMC 2390 Power Supply Replacement

Mid 2010 27" iMac dead as a doornail. All diagnostic LEDs off. (It had been flaky with mysterious restarts for a few weeks.) Power supply seemed most likely culprit, and that proved to be the case.

Everything was just as in ifixit guides (2390 display replacement guide + 2309 power supply guide). Each of the connections to the LCD is a puzzle to figure out the locking mechanism. And that puzzle is made difficult by poor illumination under the LCD, which one of your hands is using to hold at an angle.

Head mounted lamp, and another human to hold LCD would be helpful. You must solve the puzzles. Do not force. Thermal sensor connector has a small square central tab that can be depressed with a sharp probe.
