I dropped my phone face down at work. The face shattered from top to bottom and I taught my coworkers some new words.

The repair went very well with a couple of exceptions. Surprise! The suction cup doesn't work on a shattered screen. Pulling off the contacts for the home button is also a giant pain in the dick.
Also, now my home button spins about 20 degrees right and left. This is more of a nuisance than an actual problem.

If your screen is too shattered to get any suction with the suction cup, put a piece of clear plastic mailing/packing tape across the screen and smooth out all the bubbles. I was able to get more than enough suction this way.
Pulling off the strip of contacts for the home button is %#*@-near impossible using the method described. My wife had a flat-headed (as opposed to the angular blade with a point) exacto-type knife in her cricket supplies that I was able to use to gently pull up the contacts. This was by far the most nerve-wracking part of this endeavor.
