A mother having to discipline her unruly teenage sun needed a lesson in respect and responsibility and therefore took the iPhone 4S from her son. Threatening to destroy the phone the teenage son dared the mother which obviously did not go well in his favor of a bluff and the mother took a knife to it. OUCH!!

At CRCI we have three divisions in our company so obviously this came to our Disaster Data Recovery and Asset Protection Division. I recovered it after ordering the screen from ifixit and it went smoothly.

Even though we do several different data disaster recoveries to include hardware recovery we like that ifixit has pdf versions of their manuals and allows our recovery team to spread them out. By spreading out the printed version of the take apart manuals the disaster recovery tech can place every screw and part right on each instruction page and then reverse the process when replacing, in this case the screen. This method helps in the inventory of screws and small parts and allows the tech to make annotations of variances along the way in the dis-assembly.
