Very difficult

The bezel around the screen of my 6 year old MacBook Pro was cracked about 1/2 inch above the hinge on both sides. Instead of replacing the whole display, I elected to replace the bezel only.

Some of the screws on the computer were difficult to remove. My guess is that others who had previously worked on the computer did some suspect work, as some of the screws were missing. The most difficult part was re-threading the wires through the hinge and making everything fit in a snug, clean way. Definitely read the comments on this repair because you don't want to forget to do things like moving the magnet onto the new bezel and mounting the camera onto the new display. For someone doing this job for the first time, it took me about 4 hours start to finish.

Not a job for a beginner, but the guide made it relatively easy, as long as you are organized and keep track of all your parts and screws. Make sure to look at how the wires are threaded through the hinge before taking it apart. Maybe take a photo because otherwise it's hard to remember.
