The Mackie Freeplay Live has A none User replaceable battery. Since the device discharges the battery even when turned off The LI-ION battery often went below safe discharge. If i would load it the evening before an event and switch it off when full the battery would be depeleted the next morning without even having used the amplifier.

Easier than expected. It was a little hard to find the right battery as most on offer had two wires but this device needs three wire version. Its a pitty you have to remove everything down to the last screw but a new device would have costed more than ten times the price of the battery.

Before fixing the battery I added a Hidden 9 pole off-switch before the battery so I can disconnect the battery when the device is not in use. This will keep the battery from running empty during storage and before events. Works like a charm. Just make sure that the wire U use can handle 19V 3.24A that is provided by the charger / Power supply. I think the wire should have the same thickness as the wire on the battery. Also, wrap the cables so they don't rattle with heavy-loud bass. It is a powerful amp. I have made a Timelapse-Video but the site won't allow the upload. I'll give you a youtube link instead. https://youtu.be/XkHSc88OKPs
