iPhone 5 Lightning Connector and Headphone Jack Replacement

Moderate

My Problem

My device did not power on and charge up. It was an iPhone 5 that I found in storage but I was not sure I wanted to pay $200 to take it to Apple for repair and at that time I knew iFixit but did not do a repair. I watch their repair videos and watch their teardowns.

My Fix

Good. I love iFixit but after I closed up my phone it still did not charge so I am now going to try a battery repair

My Advice

No, I do not have any advice except that you need to be extremely careful with all the parts. When I did the repair I lost a tiny metal washer and I thought it was okay, but then when I reassembled my phone I could not get a screw in.
