iFixit can do what Apple doesn't

Got new AirPods as a gift and used them with my iPhone 6. Sound cut out, and after visiting the Genius Bar, Apple didn't fix the problem. Checked out iFixit, bought the part and the kit, and 2.5 hours later it was fixed for $14 (rather than $300 for another iPhone 6)! Thanks iFixit!! Again!!

Takes time, and steady nerves... and hands. At 67, I'm a bit shaky, and my eyes are not great for such small work... But the kit and instructions were bang on.
