My client was complaining that their iMac was running sluggishly.

When I first figured out their iMac was one of the ones using adhesive instead of magnets, I was nervous. But once I finished reading the repair guide, I realized how simple the repair actually is. The hardest part is getting the display cables in and out with the few inches of clearance they give. Aside from that, it's very simple. The guide warns against touching the PSU, but I honestly wasn't thinking about that and never needed to touch it at all. The SSD definitely needed its spacer otherwise it would've been too small for the rubber bumpers. Getting everything back together was pretty easy, though the kit of adhesive strips had two bottom strips that were for the same side (I made it work).

Don't be intimidated. Just take your time and follow the guide. If you're good with details, this repair is a piece of cake.
