Replacing Color Display and Battery in Ipod Video

The Ipod Video Display was broken. The screen was difficult to see because the display had black lines running through it. I replaced the battery only because the Ipod was old and if I'm opening it up, why not.

The repair was pretty easy. the hardest part was opening the Ipod casing. It took me about 20-30 minutes to complete the work. The photos provided in the guide where excellent and accurate.

I'm not too thrilled about the Ipod opening tool. The tools are plastic and have a tendency to break when opening the case (order a few). They tools are great for working on the inside of the device as you don't really want to use anything metal once you open the device up. I did have to use a small flathead screwdriver to get the case open.
