Those old adhesive strips are the worst things ever

The old 5S battery was only lasting a couple of hours on a full charge

The battery replacement process was going buttery smooth until i had to take out the old adhesive. Both tabs broke before removing it a quarter way through. I'm thinking it was the frigid North that made it less stretchy than usual. After dental floss, blow dryer, credit cards and some light prying, I was able to finish up the swap easily.

If I ever need to do this again in the winter, I'm going to heat up the back before I start peeling out the adhesive.
