Very easy

I replaced the internal 30GB iPod that I got online for $40 with a Dual SD card adapter & outfitted it with a 512GB SDXC & plan add a second when I can afford another $200 card.

Opening the case was fast and easy since the guide shows where the clips are. I popped it open within a few minutes, removed the cables (although I really didn’t need to remove the second) & slotted the adapter & card and pressed the iPod back together. I half expected the metal back to bend as it does with other iPods, but it didn’t. Since the Pod was used & slightly worn, you can’t even tell I opened it because the case already has wear.

Once the first 2 sides (the bottom & the right side, looking at the iPod) are open, popping off the the remaining clips is no more difficult than open a beer. I use the wedge as a straight perpendicular lever & by twisting the opening tool while it was in slot to pry it open & loosen it more carefully along the edges.
