I dropped a 30 pound weight on my phone while I was at the gym. Completely shattered the screen, but luckily it was still functioning. The digitizer was obviously broken, but the LCD was intact. I still wanted to replace the LCD anyway since iFixit sold the complete kit. I also got the tools for the extra $5 because I didn't want to go get the Pentalobe screwdriver myself.

When I first got the kit, I removed my old screen and started connecting the new connectors from the replacement. I noticed that one of the connectors was very snug to connect, but I moved forward anyway. When I closed everything back up and turned the phone one there were vertical lines going down the screen and I couldn't do anything. I reconnected my original broken screen and my phone worked so I knew it wasn't a problem with my phone. I contacted iFixit and they were very nice and understanding. They next day air delivered a replacement and it worked no problem. I had the new screen on and replaced within 20 minutes.

As soon as you open the box from iFitit, make sure that every single connector and ribbon on the replacement is in perfect shape. I could have easily damaged my phone even further if I wasn't being more careful and tried jamming the defective connector into the port.
