My computer, Vicki, just turned three and was running out of space. I didn't want to use an external hard drive to store the little photos/music I had, so I decided to go for an upgrade.

The repair went smoothly. I downloaded the PDF of the replacement guide onto my iPod Touch and I just started working on it. The whole process took a good 45 minutes because I was being so careful as to not lose any screws. I also took that time to clean out most of the dust that had been piling up on the inside.

Just take your time and keep a close eye on the screws. The majority are very tiny. If I decided to be reckless and unorganized with their removal, I would have lost everything. Other than that, the guide explains everything that you need to do. The photos and directions are straightforward, and a priceless source of information.
