Work partner and I both dropped and broke our iPhone screens on the same day. Excited about upgrading to the "6" in a few months but suffering with broken ( very un-cool) "5" screens was too much.

The first one was scary. The tools were good but peeling off the sticky contacts, particularly the Home Button switch, required an #11 Exacto knife as none of the provided tools could get that started. We are designers, skilled in the way of "the blade", but if one is not familiar, or tries to use only the provided tools, damage may occur.

We used the online 26 Step Guide and had it up on the iMac as we went step by step. We also took a marker to the bottom of the tray sections and wrote the step # associated with the parts ( some combined #'s ie: 15/16). This really helped as we reversed the process and worked our way back in reassembly. Two down- all good. Our advise: Stay in School- don't do this for a living!
