This the first time I ever opened a cell phone. I replaced the connector the charger worked, but the phone kept searching for the WiFi. I realized that I probably should have taken off the blue protectors before I put the new connector and maybe this was why the WiFi did not . . .

For a tech this is easy - and even for a novice, if you follow the video and be patient, you should be fine. I think my only issue with IFIXIT is the cost of the parts - they are a bit higher... but I know I can depend on them and cust . . .

My lighting port iphone was faulty and the cable wouldn't fit snugly into the iphone. Because of this, the connection was unreliable and would constantly disconnect. The only way to get a good connection I would have to put the cable in a certain position. I knew it wasn't a problem with the cable s . . .

My iPhone 5c become to lost connection and didn't charge. 2 of my 3 cables don't recognized by phone.

crwdns2853024:0crwdne2853024:0

I fix it. Tomorrow I was got my packet from ifixit.com with lightning assembly and today my iPhone 5c can charge again.

And I would like to tell you several words about a process:

Thanks Ifixit for . . .

The home button contact on the phone broke a spring contact.

crwdns2853024:0crwdne2853024:0

It was laborious and tricky. It took some finesse. Patience was required. I had to take the new one out a couple of times to adjust here and there.

Be gentle. The parts are fragile.

Be patient. Give yourself a couple hours to do it.

The phone wouldn't charge. I thought about selling it or just tossing it since I wasn't sure if just replacing the charge port would fix it. I had dropped it in water before so the real problem could've been worse than I knew.

crwdns2853024:0crwdne2853024:0

I opened up the phone as I had done many times before using the ifixit too . . .
