I had never opened my Mac pro before but desated to tray it out.

My Mack is 2007 motel and I thought OK it is old one and I have been thinking of baying new one.

I took it apart and cline the keyboard but it didn't work :(

The G key was not working. I just swapped out the entire keyboard to get it perfect again.

crwdns2853024:0crwdne2853024:0

The repair was very straight forward, the screen shots were perfect. We had a few extra screws that were not on the model in the pictures, but was easy to locate them.

crwdns2853025:0crwdne2853025:0

Take your time. Much of the ribbon cable . . .

My MacBook keyboard after seven years, lots of typing and one errant berries smoothie later, was missing a few keys and had totally lost the use of its delete key. But the final straw was an e key that had decided to either not work or depress itself continuously mid-typing likeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee . . .

I knocked a glass over and the computer worked increasingly erratically even with an external keyboard and mouse.

crwdns2853024:0crwdne2853024:0

I'm beginning to get good at this. Swapped a keyboard on a MacBook for my daughter. Did this one on my MacBook Pro. Will probably do another on my wife's computer. The repair was quite s . . .

My sisters keyboard did not work, namely the keys she most ommonly used so they had been using the on screen keyboard. I thought that was silly so I replaced it as a christmas gift.

crwdns2853024:0crwdne2853024:0

The repair went well except after I got the computer most of the way back together i noticed the speaker cable was pinc . . .

Took a drink of diet Coke and coughed up on my laptop/ Immediately soaked up what I could. Two hours later, several keys stopped working.

crwdns2853024:0crwdne2853024:0

Went well. Hard to keep track of the screws but I did. Took about 2 slow hours.

crwdns2853025:0crwdne2853025:0

Try not to spit up on keyboard in the future.

Replaced defective keyboard due to spill (expensive bourbon spill, nonetheless)

crwdns2853024:0crwdne2853024:0

Overall, the repair went well. The instructions provided on the iFixit site were detailed, thorough, and nearly flawless. I couldn't have replaced the keyboard without them. There were many more screws than I expected and . . .
