We’ve been taking apart iPhones for more than a decade, and we’ve learned a thing or two about the tiny parts inside your favorite smartphone. It’s cool to look at your phone’s guts when we tear them down, but they’re also super delicate, so you should keep your trusted pocket computer covered and protected as much as possible.

That’s why we made our new Insight iPhone Cases. Made from the iPhone teardown wallpapers you already know and love, they expose all of your iPhone’s dirty little secrets—while keeping its delicate gadget guts safe at the same time.
The Insight iPhone Cases are made from thermoplastic polyurethane, which is a fancy way to say a tough plastic that is still flexible enough to easily slide onto your phone. They’re extra resistant to grease, oil, scratches, and abrasions—and they’ll absorb some of the shock when you inevitably drop your phone. And, of course, these cases have some pretty precise cutouts that provide easy access to volume and power buttons, ringer switches, lightning ports, and headphone jacks—without letting dirt and grime sneak in.
There are two versions of each model: Color, so you can see the guts of your phone as if you’d just lifted the screen with a suction cup; and X-ray, so you can finally see the inside of your device just by looking at the back of it (many thanks to our friends at Creative Electron for their help with the X-rays over the years). And they’re all priced at an affordable $9.99.
Find the case for your iPhone model here—we’ve got cases for every model of the iPhone starting with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus (we don’t currently have cases for the iPhone SE):
- iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
- iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus
- iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus
- iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus
- iPhone X
- iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max
- iPhone XR
If you like gadget guts and seeing the insides of your devices, or if you just want an extra layer of protection between your phone and almost anything that would harm it, grab a case and take your favorite teardown with you wherever you go.
In fact, we’d love to see where you’re taking them! Take a picture of your iPhone with its Insight case, and share it with us on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook by tagging us @iFixit!

Nothing for my SE?
Jason Malvuccio - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
I’m with the first three persons - where is one for my SE?
I fixed my first generation SE with your equipment and parts, sold it and bought a second generation SE.
I plan on keeping it for awhile, and I like the X-ray cover design. Disappointed that there is not one for the SE (would also fit a 5s).

OK, that’s 4 of us just within the first hour that want an SE cover. My cover is taped together with duct tape, and is a repair that does not measure up to any decent standard. Send the mass email so we see the new SE cover offering next week as soon as it’s ready!
