How do I return something I ordered?
We want you to be happy with your purchase from iFixit. If you need to return something, we’re here to help.
Step 1 — Start your return request
Please contact our support team through FixBot before sending anything back. FixBot will collect the details we need and make sure your request reaches the right team.
Once your return is authorized, you’ll receive an RMA number and detailed return instructions by email. You must have an RMA number before shipping any items to us.
⚠️ Note: Batteries require special shipping instructions that must be followed to comply with federal regulations. These will be sent to you once your return is approved.
Step 2 — Return window and conditions
We happily accept returns for non-defective items that are unused and undamaged within 30 days of delivery.
Please note:
- We do not offer exchanges for non-defective items.
- Shipping costs for non-defective returns are non-refundable.
- Returns received without an RMA number may be subject to a 25% restocking fee ($5 minimum).
Step 3 — Guarantee replacement requests
Most of our parts and tools are covered by a Lifetime Guarantee. Consumables such as batteries, adhesives, tapes, or thermal paste include a one year guarantee, while other items—like blue plastic opening tools—are sold as is, since they are designed to be used up. If your item isn’t working properly and you’d like a replacement instead of a refund, simply let FixBot know during your request. We’ll confirm your shipping address before arranging a replacement, especially for orders older than 30 days.
Our Support Team may ask for photos or videos of the issue before processing your replacement.
