Refund Policy (US Store)
We want you to be happy with your purchase from iFixit. We accept returns for items that are unused, undamaged, and in resalable condition within 30 days of delivery.
Before sending anything back, please contact our support team through FixBot to receive a return authorization number (RMA). You must have an RMA before shipping anything to us. Once approved, our team will email you detailed return instructions.

Batteries
Batteries require special shipping handling instructions that must be followed to comply with federal safety regulations. Once your return is authorized, we’ll email you the required instructions.
Return eligibility
- Arrangements for a return must be made within 30 days of delivery.
- RMA numbers are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, and items should be shipped back within 7 days.
- Packages returned without an RMA may incur a 25% restocking fee ($5 minimum).
- Refusing a delivery is considered a return without authorization and may also incur a restocking fee.
Shipping and refund conditions
- Original and return shipping costs for non-defective returns are the customer’s responsibility.
- If iFixit is at fault, we will provide a prepaid return label or reimburse return shipping for standard, trackable shipping methods.
- Any unauthorized charges to iFixit’s shipping account will be billed to the customer.
- If a label was issued for a reported defective part but the item returns fully functional or damaged, the label cost will be deducted from the refund.
- Returns must arrive in the same condition they were sent. Parts that are damaged, scratched, used, or missing components may not qualify for a refund.
Exchanges
We do not offer exchanges for non-defective items. If you ordered the wrong part, please place a new order for the correct item and request a return for the incorrect one within 30 days of receipt.
Stickers and verification
Removing the iFixit tamperproof sticker does not void your guarantee but may delay return processing. Returns for unpackaged parts without the sticker may be denied or refunded as store credit.
Refused or misdirected packages
Rejecting a delivery or redirecting a package without our consent may result in a 25% restocking fee ($5 minimum) plus any additional return fees. These charges will be deducted from your refund. In cases where return fees exceed the order total, a refund may not be possible.
Additional notes
- Coupon codes apply only to products, not to shipping costs.
- iFixit is not responsible for reimbursing third party costs, as we empower customers to perform their own repairs and save on labor.
- To keep prices low, return fees apply to refused packages. Always claim your package and contact us through FixBot to start a return properly.
