  • In this classic hand-stuck-in-cookie-jar situation, we can either cut off our hand (the camera bump) or shatter the cookie jar (the rear glass). Great.

  • We opt for the camera bump-ectomy for an intact glass panel. Those replacing a broken panel won't have any good options—and they'll have a heck of a time scraping out the shards of glued-down glass.

Dopo tanto tanto calore, abbiamo imbracciato lo spudger e sfoderato il nostro Jimmy. Come per gli iPhone 8 e 8 Plus, l'X ha un pannello posteriore incollato in modo davvero molto serio.

Dopo tutto aver Jimmy-ato a lungo e con attenzione, siamo ancora bloccati: diversamente dal pannello posteriore in un solo pezzo dell'iPhone 8, qui la sporgenza la fotocamera si sovrappone al vetro posteriore ed è meticolosamente saldata al telaio di metallo sottostante.

In questa classica situazione di mano-incastrata-nel-vaso, possiamo optare per il taglio della mano (la gobba della fotocamera) o mandare in frantumi il vaso (il vetro posteriore). Grande.

Optiamo per la gobbectomia per mantenere intatto il pannello di vetro. Chi vuole sostituire un pannello rotto non ha alcuna alternativa valida; e avrà bisogno anche di un bel po' di tempo per poter rimuovere i cocci di vetro incollato.
