Swap the CPU Chip

  • Turn the ZIF retaining screw to release the CPU chip. When properly released you will be able to easily lift the CPU out of its socket.

  • Insert the new CPU into this socket. Note carefully that you must line up the corner of the chip with the two missing pins and the corner of the socket with the two missing pin holes.

  • Apply heat sink compound to the raised portion of new CPU chip. Also apply heat sink compound to the smaller chip in the upper right corner of the photo.

Cambiar el chip de la CPU

Gira el tornillo de retención ZIF para liberar el chip de la CPU. Cuando lo sueltes correctamente, podrás sacar fácilmente la CPU de su zócalo.

Inserta la nueva CPU en este zócalo. Ten en cuenta que debe alinear la esquina del chip con los dos pines que faltan y la esquina del zócalo con los dos orificios para pines que faltan.

Aplica compuesto disipador de calor a la parte elevada del nuevo chip de CPU. También aplica compuesto disipador de calor al chip más pequeño en la esquina superior derecha de la foto.
