  • Reassemble the LCD display as explained on iFixit.

  • No other work needs to be done. As you removed the power cable the SMC should reset, which is the chip configuring your hardware.

  • If all goes well, you should be greeted with a welcome screen and "About This Mac" should show the image to the left.

  • Note: I also replaced the optical drive with a 256GB SSD, which can be done easily during the installation process.

  • Last tip: If you remove the optical drive for an SSD, make a minimal bootcamp partition and install Windows on it. It will save you a lot of trouble if you ever need one. Believe me, simply do it. Installing bootcamp with no optical drive is a pain.

Remontez l'écran LCD comme indiqué sur iFixit.

Aucun autre travail ne doit être effectué. Lorsque vous avez retiré le câble d'alimentation, le SMC, la puce configurant votre matériel, doit être réinitialisé.

Si tout va bien, vous devriez être accueilli avec un écran d'accueil et "à propos de ce Mac" devrait montrer l'image à gauche.

Remarque: J'ai également remplacé le lecteur optique par un SSD de 256 Go qui peut être effectué facilement pendant le processus d'installation.

Dernier conseil: si vous remplacez le lecteur optique pour un SSD, créez une partition de bootcamp minimale et installez Windows. Cela vous fera économiser beaucoup de problèmes si vous en avez besoin. Croyez-moi, il suffit de le faire, l'installation de bootcamp sans lecteur optique est un vrai casse tête.
