  • As the 6 series is slightly higher, we need to make a little space on the plastic holder which is beneath the card.

  • Remove the plastic part, which is shown on the 2nd picture, by removing one screw and carefully pull it from the aluminium case.

  • It's fastened with tape so don't worry about breaking anything.

  • After wiggling and navigating it around the cables, you should have it in your hands.

  • The rectangular space, in picture three where the large cable goes through, use a rotary tool to make it about 5mm wider and 2-3mm deeper.

  • The third image shows the final result we want to achieve.

  • The primary reason for this step is the heatpipe of the 6 series, which takes more space.

  • Note: This is ONLY necessary on the late 2009 model, the 2010 models already have enough room.

Da die Serie 6 ein wenig höher ist, müssen wir auf dem Kunststoffhalter unterhalb der Karte etwas Platz schaffen

Entferne das Kunststoffteil auf dem zweiten Foto, indem du eine Schraube entfernst und sie vorsichtig von dem Aluminiumgehäuse ziehst

Das Teil ist mit Klebestreifen befestigt, also keine Sorge! Du kannst nichts kaputtmachen.

Nachdem du es ein wenig hin und her bewegt und von den Kabeln weggeführt hast, solltest du das Teil schließlich in den Händen halten.

Du siehst nun die rechteckige Fläche, durch die das große Kabel führt (Bild 3). Nimm eine Multifunktionswerkzeug ("Dremel"), um sie ca. 5 mm breiter und 2-3 mm tiefer zu machen.

Im dritten Bild siehst du, wie es zum Schluss aussehen soll.

Der Hauptgrund für diesen Schritt ist das Wärmeableitrohr ("Heatpipe") der Serie 6, das mehr Platz benötigt.

Hinweis: dieser Schritt ist NUR beim späten 2009er Modell nötig, 2010er Modelle haben bereits genug Platz!
