Open up the camera by releasing the latches on the top and bottom of the camera. There are 2 latches on top and 2 on the bottom. Once the two halves of the camera are unhooked, you can easily pry open the camera with your hands.
Set camera down on a flat surface with both sides facing up.
The top shutter button is connected using two thin soldered wires (black and red) to the main board. Use caution when prying the camera open.
Avoid touching the area around the flash capacitor (the big black cylinder) as it could result in an uncomfortable (but non-dangerous) electric shock, even with the battery removed.
