In order to install the MP3 player, it must be fully compatible with the car radio. The Volvo radio shown in this guide is the SC-813 in a 1994 Volvo GLE.

Identify the radio model number to determine if the player is compatible. The model number in the radio shown is SC-813, located at the top left corner of the tape slot.

Most of the SC-XXX model radios have a quick release tap that allows you to remove them with a pop out pull tab. An anti-theft CODE card will not be necessary because you will NOT be disconnecting the radio power connectors.
